Perhaps the most meaningful thing to say about this practice is what it is NOT.
Simply, it is not a method or system of Yoga. This practice invites us to “show up” to what it is to have a life in this form, and to appreciate and enjoy the full potential of experiencing both!
It is up to the students to use their imagination and to tolerate not knowing. ~ Diane Long
Working with our bodies in this way requires presence and attention without imposition of the will of the thinking mind over the intelligence of the body. It is an UN-learning of conditioning to RE-member oneself. The attitude is loving and with a light touch, but not without full awareness and clarity – we DO OUR BEST with whatever is in the exact moment, free from what was yesterday, and free from expectation. This keeps the practice fresh, authentic and liberating!!
It is quite possibly the hardest work you will ever do!
